We expect missions we support to adhere to certain standards regarding their mission statement, financial disclosure and communication:
1. Statement of Mission
a. This should be a clear, written statement.
b. It should include doctrinal beliefs and a commitment to the evangelical Christian faith and a personal testimony.
c. It should describe preparation for the mission field including education, mission experience, mission sending agency, home church and involvement.
d. It should set expectations for their work in the field.
e. The mission statement should fit with our mission strategy.
2. Financial Disclosure
a. People or projects we support are expected to submit or have readily available an accurate financial statement.
b. Every supported person should manage resources responsibly and in accord with local and national laws.
c. Financial matters shall be conducted in a manner consistent with biblical truths and practices.
d. Conflicts of interest should be fully disclosed.
3. Communication
a. Two-way communication is encouraged with the missions team committing to connect biannually with each supported entity.
b. Communications should include work being done, successes and failures, and whether additional support is needed.
