Purpose
Our missions effort seeks to honor God by being Christ centered, “i2″ (irresistible influence), shrewd in stewardship, compassionate in caring, inspiring to the congregation and faithful to God’s word. We set clear guidelines that govern our distribution of financial support to individuals and agencies in need. We are structured so that the resources sent out from this church result in lives being transformed by Jesus Christ. (Click to see Our Standards, Supported Missions)
Definition
We ask, “Will an endeavor grow God’s kingdom?” If yes, then we see this as a mission opportunity. Missions are any Holy Spirit empowered endeavor outside of our local congregation to fulfill in partnership with Christians worldwide the Great Commission to “go and make disciples of all nations.” This is done by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, by alleviating human need and suffering in Christ’s name, by establishing churches and by developing church leaders.

Biblical Basis
God’s redemptive plan is to bring glory to Himself through the gracious rescue of his people from sin and its destructive effects from every culture and place in the world.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility … He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. Priorities
The missions team exists to:
- provide steady prayer support for each missionary and agency
- develop effective strategies for distribution of mission funds
- to oversee proper distribution of funds
- to maintain regular communication with supported missionaries and ministries
